In this HOW TO I will be showing you the basics for proper split squat technique.
Props Needed: Your mat, and maybe a couch or table near by to assist with balance
Why I love Split Squats? They are a great way to focus on unilateral lower body strength. They translate very well into everyday life and activities, and work as a great movement to strengthen your regular squat. They can be a great alternative to lunges as well!
What to Keep in mind: Make sure to start with proper alignment with your legs and knees. Can't quite get to lifting your knee off the ground? Just hanging out in a half kneeling position is an awesome place to start.
