Lunging (forward + back) | HOW TO
13m
In this HOW TO I will be showing you the basics for proper step back + front lunging technique, as well as where to start if you are new to lunging
Props Needed: Your mat, possible a wall, table, or couch for support. Then option to add some weights if you feel good!
Why I love Lunges? They are an awesome movement for training stability throughout our entire body and developing strength for our lower body. They translate really well into everyday life and activities that require us to have unilateral strength. Think running, walking, cycling, or skateboarding!
What to Keep in mind: A key factor in maintaining a strong, and lunge position is paying attention to the angles or shapes that your knee joints are creating. Think about always coming down to the tall half kneeling position.
