In this HOW TO I will be showing you the basics on how functional core tension, or bracing. We consider something 'functional' when you can 'load' or move through an entire range of motion that a joint can offer without pain or restriction. A huge factor in successfully performing a lot of the movements we do here on AFFM is being able to properly stabilize our spine, in relation to our moving limbs during exercises. Insert finding your core tension!

What to Keep in mind: If you are newer to this concept start lying on your back with feet on the floor as I do in the video. Only progress to the all fours position when you feel super solid from your back! Have something restricting you from lying on your back? All good to start in all fours.
